In this experiment, 12 dogs undergoing OHE surgery received subcutaneous robenacoxib (group R, [Formula: see text]) injection or two sheets of TERPs (group T, [Formula: see text]) as postoperative analgesia to assess the analgesic effect of TERPs. The results demonstrated no significant differences in physiological parameters, pain scores and mechanical nociceptive thresholds (MNTs) between groups postoperatively, indicating that the TERPs provide comparable results to robenacoxib in managing postoperative pain in dogs undergoing OHE.
