Abstract

the following vectors of management of banks' problem assets: assessment of indicators of management of banks' problem assets; analysis of the regulatory framework, which is the basis of any subject of research and has undergone appropriate changes in accordance with the requirements related to the introduction of martial law in Ukraine and establishment of parameters for the functioning of market participants within the legislative framework of Ukraine. The article conducts a SWOT-analysis, which allowed to assess the current situation with NPLs, highlighting their weaknesses and strengths, as well as opportunities and threats. This allowed us to provide recommendations on the development of optimal strategies for the management of non-performing loans in the context of military risks to prevent future economic impact of the crisis, taking into account the Ukraine Facility Plan and the Memorandum for Economic and Financial Policy concluded by Ukraine with the IMF. The conclusions of the article emphasise the need to further improve the management of banks' non-performing assets using a comprehensive approach that includes preventive measures, operational tools for NPL management and support from regulators, which will contribute to economic growth in the country as a whole.
