A detailed review of Ti/BDD coated electrodes is carried out from the following aspects: substrate types, TiC interlayers, the electrode stability, and the electrochemical oxidation performance. The deficiencies in the research and future development of coated electrodes are pointed out. Abstract

The Ti/B-doped diamond (Ti/BDD) coated electrode exhibits various advantages, including a wide potential window, a high oxygen precipitation potential, high stability, and the low cost. Hence, it has been an optimal choice for industrial applications. In this paper, research results on Ti/BDD coated electrodes in a few years are completely reviewed. The preparation method and B-doping technology of Ti/BDD coated electrodes are also introduced. The current research status of coated electrodes is summarized.
