Work engagement was positively correlated with emotional intelligence (r=.94, <em>p</em> < .01) and occupational well-being (r=.96, <em>p</em> < .01).</p></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><p>The current work engagement of nurses in China is at a medium level. Abstract
Purpose
To identify the relationship between emotional intelligence, occupational well-being, and work engagement among Chinese clinical nurses.
