Theoretical energy values and <span>\\(E\\)</span>1 transitions’ probabilities are compared with the experimental data. Abstract

The energies and electrical properties of the octupole states of the \({}^{238}\)U nucleus are studied within the framework of a phenomenological model considering the Coriolis mixing of rotational bands. Mixing of the low-lying negative parity bands is considered. The energies, the structures of states of rotational bands with \(K^{{\pi}}=0^{-}\), \(1^{-}\), \(2^{-}\), \(3^{-}\), and the reduced probabilities of E1 transitions are calculated. Theoretical energy values and \(E\)1 transitions’ probabilities are compared with the experimental data. Good agreement between experimental data and theoretical results is obtained.
