Abstract
We report the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder Evolutionary Map of the Universe survey detection of radio continuum emission from SN1996aq, a Type Ic supernova within the nearby face-on spiral galaxy NGC 5584. Analysis at multiple radio frequencies reveals radio emission coincident with SN1996aq. We find a flatter radio spectral index compared to the 2009 observations, indicating rapid evolution of SN1996aq. Conversely, no radio emission is observed from NGC 5584's other known supernova, SN2007af.
