Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah melatih serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kesiapsiagaan dalam menanggulangi bencana ataupun potensi bahaya. Metode yang digunakan dengan cara ceramah, tanya jawab dan diskusi mengenai sanitasi bencana serta simulasi ketika menghadapi suatu bencana. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan di SMA N 1 Banyuasin I yang diikuti oleh 50 siswa. Hasil evaluasi secara lisan yang telah dilakukan menggambarkan bahwa para peserta memahami materi yang telah disampaikan terlihat dari kemampuan mereka menjawab dengan baik dan benar serta para siswa sudah dapat langsung mempraktikkan secara mandiri didalam ruangan sesuai dengan prosedur yang telah dijelaskan. Pelatihan siaga bencana perlu dikembangkan mulai tingkat pendidikan dasar untuk membangun budaya keselamatan dan ketahanan khususnya untuk anak-anak dan generasi muda. \n \nIndonesia is a country that has high potential to experience disasters in the form of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes and has a congenital disaster in the form of landslides, tidal waves and secondary hazards in the form of fires so that disaster preparedness needs to be done. The purpose of this activity is to train and increase awareness of the importance of preparedness in dealing with disasters or potential hazards. The method used is by lecturing, question and answer and discussion about disaster sanitation and simulation when facing a disaster. Community service activities carried out at SMA N 1 Banyuasin I, which was attended by 50 students. The oral evaluation results that have been done illustrate that the participants understand the material that has been presented is seen from their ability to answer properly and correctly and the students can immediately practice independently in the room in accordance with the procedures described. Abstract
Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang berpotensi tinggi mengalami bencana berupa letusan gunung berapi dan gempa serta memiliki bencana bawaan berupa longsor, gelombang pasang, dan bahaya sekunder berupa kebakaran sehingga perlu dilakukan kesiapsiagaan bencana. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah melatih serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kesiapsiagaan dalam menanggulangi bencana ataupun potensi bahaya.
