Manifestaciones cutáneas asociadas al uso de cetuximab

Abstract

The use of cetuximab, an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor monoclonal antibody, has proved to be effective in the management of different types of cancer, but it has been associated to adverse skin reactions. These effects can compromise the quality of life in these patients and require appropriate interventions. This manuscript explores the most common skin manifestations associated to the use of cetuximab, such as acneiform rash, paronychia, alopecia, xerosis, pruritus, and hand-foot skin reactions, as well as providing recommendations for the management of these manifestations.
