PC takes a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing that genitourinary malignancies affect multiple aspects of a person's life. By addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, PC aims to provide comprehensive support that is consistent with the patient's values and preferences. The goal is to optimize comfort, minimize distress, and enhance the patient's quality of life throughout the course of the illness. PC is not a one-off intervention, but an ongoing source of support.
