Abstract
(Abstracted from Reprod Biomed Online 2023;47:103414
Endometriosis is a well-established risk factor for infertility due to alterations in folliculogenesis, oocyte release from the ovaries, tubal function, and oocyte fertilization. In addition, it has been hypothesized that the presence of an abnormal endometrium, a known consequence of endometriosis, may impair embryo implantation leading to impaired pregnancy outcomes.
