Abstract
West Nile Virus infection in children may usually occur as a self-limiting febrile illness or rarely as a neuroinvasive disease with possible late neurological sequelae. Therefore, the paediatrician should take into consideration this condition in febrile children who also showed neurological signs or symptoms. Early recognition of the disease and appropriate management may result in a favorable prognosis.
