On New Approaches towards the Establishment of Representative Government Authorities in Foreign Countries

Abstract

The author analyzes forms of implementation of the principle of gender quotas in the formation of representative public authorities that have become quite widespread today. The author questions the effectiveness of this principle, in which holding a public authority is carried out not on an experience, qualifications and competence, but only on a gender. No less controversial seems to be mechanisms of state support for the operation of the considered principle.
