Abstract

This comprehensive literature review on pomegranate plants thoroughly examines the various aspects, including traditional uses, nutritional composition, bioactive compounds present in each part of the plant, and their potential activity on human health. The chemical composition of the pomegranate peel and the toxicology of the plant are also discussed. This review also contributes to the understanding of the various pharmacological actions of the pomegranate plant parts.
