Abstract

: Counseling based on Minangkabau culture, and how indigenous counseling based on Minangkabau culture can be used to increase students' self-esteem understanding. In an increasingly advanced and diverse global context, it is important for guidance counseling teachers to understand and appreciate cultural diversity in service delivery. The writing method employed in the article is a literature research method, with the goal of reviewing relevant literature to gather in-depth information about the subject or issue under study, the result of the discussion is the Minangkabau philosophy applied as indegenous counseling can help students in understanding their self-esteem.
