A qualitative study was conducted on two lecturers of takhrij al-hadith . Data was collected from a semi-structured interview using a document analysis. Results showed that teaching and learning method of takhrij al-hadith at UKM and UM used both conventional and innovative approaches. It can be concluded that takhrij al-hadith advances teaching and learning through the combination of conventional and innovative methods. This study implies that takhrij al-hadith approach is critical in the current digital era of global higher learning institutions.
