Abstract

Are you a reliability engineering professional who is interested in writing, editing, and reviewing standards? Then, the Reliability Society’s Standards Committee (RS-SC) is the place for you. The IEEE Reliability Society (RS) develops open consensus-based standards utilizing the standards development process established by the IEEE Standards Association (SA). The IEEE has developed standards for over a century. The SA’s standards development process has evolved over the past century, which now offers a balanced, fair, and open procedure. The SA standards development process has resulted in an active portfolio of over 900 completed standards, recommended practices, and guides (all are called “standards”).
