The maximum removal efficiency was 82% at dose = 5 / 15 mg/l of initial concentration 1%. Furthermore, the minimum removal efficiency of turbidity was obtained when using chitosan as a coagulant. was 56% at dose = 8 mg/l. There was no important effect on the values of entire dissolved salts when using the above coagu-lants . Abstract

An experimental study was conducted with the aim of comparing different types of coagulants and choosing the most suitable type in (Geziret Al-Dahab) water treat-ment plant.
