Abstract
This publication presents for the first time Włodzimierz Wysocki’s poetry dedicated to Volodymyr Antonovych, along with a discussion of the poem’s creation and content. A toast by Włodzimierz Wysocki, a Polish poet-positivist and a proponent of the “Ukrainian school” of Polish Romanticism, living in Kyiv, celebrates the 25th anniversary of the scientific work of the prominent Ukrainian historian and University of Kyiv professor, Volodymyr Antonovych, and presents the author’s concerns. It attempts to uncover the roots of these suspicious relations, establish mutual understanding, and eliminate hatred. Thus, Wysocki’s work forms a significant chapter in the history of Polish-Ukrainian relations.
