Abstract

Taxonomic notes on the Acmaeoderella (Euacmaeoderella) nivifera (Abeille de Perrin, 1894) species group comprising eight desert species are presented. Among them, Acmaeoderella bilyi sp. n. (Oman), A. svatabilyi sp. n. (Saudi Arabia), and A. monnerati sp. n. (Oman) are described. Their descriptions as well as diagnoses, biological and distributional notes are presented for all the species included in the A. nivifera species group. Lectotypes are designated for Acmaeoderella (Eu.) nivifera nivifera (Abeille de Perrin, 1894) and A. (Eu.) nivifera cheopis (Obenberger, 1934).
