These decisions are influenced by philosophical and theoretical factors, as ESL teachers carefully consider their approach and methodology. The purpose of this article is to examine how different pedagogical principles impact the teaching and learning of ESL. To achieve this, a comprehensive review of existing literature was conducted, analyzing secondary data. A total of fifteen scholarly articles, which had undergone peer review, were gathered and analyzed to draw meaningful conclusions. The researcher will discuss the implications and insights derived from the study of how various pedagogical stances affect students' linguistic development, interpersonal competence, analytical reasoning, and cultural sensitivity.
