Abstract

American literature is renowned for its rich and varied contributions to world literature. The greatness of American literature lies in its ability to reflect the diverse and evolving nature of American society. From its beginnings to the present day, it has been a dynamic force reflecting, critiquing, and shaping the cultural, social, and political landscape of the United States and beyond. This article examines how the concept of multiculturalism is introduced into literary works using the examples of “Beloved” by Toni Morrison and “The women Warrior” by Maxine Hong Kingston.
