The testing results for the main insulation of distribution and furnace transformers having different purpose and design are presented for three modes of operation: for a mode with no tank and oil, for a mode without oil and with a tank, and for a mode with a transformer immersed in an oil-filled tank. According to the results of testing, it has been found that the aging of transformer oil is characterized by a rapidly decaying exponent. Abstract
One of the methods for the diagnostics of the main insulation of power oil transformers is considered.
