ON PROPER NAMES IN THE SHAHNAMEH: RUSTAM’S FAMILY

Abstract

Это краткое изложение имен собственных в «Шахнаме», в частности близких родственников центральной фигуры эпоса Рустама, его матери и сына, с предварительной этимологией имени последнего Сухраба, оставшейся до сих пор невыясненной. This is a brief account of the proper names in the Shahnama, particularly those of the close relatives of Rustam, the central figure of the epic, his mother and son, with a tentative etymology of the latter’s name, Suhrāb, hitherto remaining unexplained.
