Abstract
Refill drinking water is one of the alternative products to meet the drinking water needs of the community. Water is an inseparable part of all humans. This is because living things cannot live if there is no water, so water is needed to maintain the survival of living things. Therefore, this researcher aims to determine the quality of refill drinking water, whether the product meets the quality standards that have been set or not. Safe drinking water must meet established standards starting from the physical, chemical, microbiological, and radioactive aspects in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. According to the results of the 2013 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), the incidence and prevalence of diarrhea in all age groups in Indonesia are 3.5 percent and 7.0 percent, respectively. The incidence of diarrhea is closely related to the quality of sanitation and ground water used by the community. The results showed that from the results of this study, 37.5% of DAMIU Teluk Ambon District, North Balikpapan Regency met the effective criteria, namely 66.67% (20) from 30 depots and those included in the ineffective criteria were 33.33%. (10) of 30 depots. This indicates that groundwater for sanitation and water at the sampling sites are generally contaminated by coliform bacteria.
