Such activities as volunteering have become the object of scientific research in the sociology of management only recently. There are many studies of volunteering that introduce a terminology of problem area, however, many scientific works have been created without taking into account the peculiarities of managerial influence. So, there is a need to adapt the volunteering terminology in relation to the sociology of management. This article is an attempt to describe, summarize and categorize terminology of volunteering activities. To introduce more relevant definitions of goals and objectives for such area of sociological study as volunteering was the main mission of this article. To do so, I have compiled the list of terminology relevant to the topic, as well as characterized different types of volunteers and areas of volunteering activities. After analyzing the collected data, I have presented the results as a mathematical graph. Abstract
