Study of the molecular mechanisms of endothelial dysfunction with changes in the nitroergic system in experimental hypercholesterolemia. The experiments were carried out on 28 Chinchilla rabbits with an average weight of 2.5-3.0 kg. The action of drugs was studied in dynamics: the initial 3-month condition and after one month of drug administration. The results obtained were compared with those of the control and intact groups. The activity of the enzyme nitrate reductase in the blood serum on the 30th day of the introduction of exogenous cholesterol increases only 1.15 times, then on the 60th and 90th days of the introduction - 1.3 and 1.76 times. Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerosis are still the main cause of mortality in Central Asia.
