Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan alat pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan subjek penelitian menggunakan probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling. Adapun subjek penelitian yang dipilih oleh peneliti adalah siswa/siswi kelas VIII-1 di SMP Islam 1 Kota Ternate. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba media pembelajaran berbasis canva terhadap siswa/siswi kelas VIII-1 di Islam 1 Kota Ternate menunjukan sebuah tanggapan yang sangat positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. dimana respon dari siswa maupun siswi terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis canva sangatlah setuju jika diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Bisa disimpulkan bahwa media belajar berbasis canva pada materi pembelajaran IPS mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa/siswi kelas VIII-1 di Islam 1 Kota Ternate. Abstract
