Using a spectrophotometric test on extracts from P.comosa var. acmodonta grown in Turkey, the antioxidant efficiency of the plant extracts was estimated by measuring the violet coloration in a methanol solution containing 1,1-diphenylpyryl hydrazil (DPPH·). In addition, the results of the anticandidal effect tests using the CLSI M27-A2 method are also included in this study. The 70% ethanol extract of P. comosa showed the highest antioxidant activity (0.143 mg/mL).
