Abstract

- Technological advances called scanners or scanning tools can convert documents into digital images by scanning, apart from that, the scanning process can also be carried out using a good quality camera. Digital data can be stored and viewed again easily so the scanning process has problems, this lies in the difference in paper quality making the scan results look bad or there is a lot of noise making the image unclear. Noise is a disturbance in the image in the form of spots in the image, usually caused by imperfections in the scanning process or dirt in the document. Thus, there are two methods used, namely Median Filtering and Opening Morphology.
