Communicating adverse drug events: serotonin toxicity

Abstract

What happens when people don’t know about an adverse drug event that landed them in hospital? This article uses a case of serotonin toxicity to illustrate the importance of communicating a patient's history of adverse effects to avoid the risk of re‐exposure and further harm.
