Floristic findings from the Caspian region (Southern European part of Russia, Western Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan)

Abstract

Data on new findings of 10 species of vascular plants are presented, which significantly expand the information about their distribution. For the flora of Turkmenistan, 3 species are given. Phlomoides kaufmanniana (Regel) Adylov, Kamelin et Makhm. and Origanum tyttanthum Gontsch. were noted for the first time in the western part of the Kugitang Range. Ammi majus L. was found in the Southwestern Kopetdag. For the West Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan, Ferula lehmannii Boiss. is given for the first time, and for the Atyrau region, Ferula karelinii Bunge. In the south of the Russian Federation, for the first time for the Rostov Region, 2 new species were recorded (Ofaiston monandrum (Pall.) Moq and Helichrysum nogaicum Tzvelev) and 3 new species were recorded for the first time for the Republic of Kalmykia (Stipa cretacea P.A. Smirn, Arabis auriculata L., Astragalus psiloglottis Steven ex DC.). Finding new taxa in the Rostov Region and in the Republic of Kalmykia may be due to insufficient knowledge of the flora. Representative of the genera Ammi L. is new for the flora of Central Asia.
