Abstract
This study aims to identify the particles that are commonly used in the Buaran area, Pekalongan. In addition, this study seeks to analyze the meaning and use of particles that are often used by the surrounding community. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, which presents data based on facts without judging right or wrong. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through field observations using listening, speaking, and note-taking techniques, while secondary data was obtained through the @awingaljamal (mas batik) account. Data analysis was performed using the matching and distribution method. Based on research results, the Buaran people often use the particles pok, po, og, si, sio, ki, loh, aa, leh, oo in everyday communication. The particle is pronounced with rising intonation at the end of the sentence. The particles si, sio, loh, leh, oo, aa are generally used by young people, while po, pok, og are used by all groups. Particles pok, po, og, oo, si, sio, ki, loh, and leh are used to emphasize the previous sentence. The ki particle functions as a conjunction connecting with the next word. The particle oo functions as an interjection.
