Kebiasaan sarapan dan status gizi adalah dua hal yang mempengaruhi hasil pembelajaran anak sekolah. Kebiasaan sarapan dan status gizi mempunyai fungsi penting bagi anak sekolah karena dapat menjadikan pertumbuhan fisik dan perkembangan otak yang baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar anak sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan sarapan dan status gizi dengan prestasi belajar anak sekolah di SMPN 5 Kulisusu, Kabupaten Buton Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan desain cross-sectional study. Populasi dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri (SMPN) 5 Kulisusu sebanyak 73 orang (26 orang kelas VII, 21 orang kelas VIII dan 26 orang kelas IX) yang diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji chi-square dengan batas kemaknaan (α = 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan sarapan (p-value=0,000) dan status gizi (p-value=0,000) dengan prestasi belajar anak sekolah di SMPN 5 Kulisusu. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah kebiasaan sarapan dan status gizi berhubungan dengan prestasi belajar anak sekolah di SMPN 5 Kulisusu, Kabupaten Buton Utara. Disarankan kepada pihak sekolah agar selalu mengingatkan kepada seluruh anak sekolah untuk sarapan setiap hari. Kepada orang tua yang memiliki anak berstatus gizi normal agar tetap mempertahankan status gizinya dan orang tua tua yang mempunyai anak kurang gizi harus berusaha untuk mengoptimalkan status gizi anaknya dengan melakukan makan makanan yang sehat, seimbang serta memberikan stimulus belajar demi peningkatan prestasi belajar anak. Student's learning achievement can be improved through breakfast and nutritional status because they can lead to good physical growth and brain development. This study aimed to determine the relationship between breakfast habit and nutritional status with school children's learning achievement at SMPN 5 Kulisusu, North Buton Regency. This study was an observational analytic with cross-sectional study design. The population and samples in this study were all school children studying at SMPN 5 Kulisusu with a total of 73 students (26 students from class VII, 21 students from class VIII, and 26 students from class IX) which selected by simple random sampling. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test and the significance limit (α = 0.05). The results showed that there waere a relationship between breakfast habits (p-value = 0.000) and nutritional status (p-value = 0.000) with school children's learning achievement at SMPN 5 Kulisusu. The conclusions were breakfast habits and nutritional status were related to school children's learning achievement at SMPN 5 Kulisusu, North Buton Regency. It is suggested to the school to always remind all school children to have breakfast every day. Parents who have children with normal nutritional status so that they maintain their nutritional status and parents who have children with undernourished status should try to optimize their child's nutritional status by eating healthy, balanced meals and providing learning stimulus to increase children's learning achievement.
