DAMPAK PERCERAIAN TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN SOSIAL EMOSIONAL REMAJA DI SMP NEGERI 22 KOTA JAMBI

Abstract

: Divorce can change children's behavior, children really need support, sensitivity and affection. Social emotional development is an important aspect for child development. Many factors influence a child's emotional stability and social abilities, both from the child himself and from outside him. Various factors influence children's emotional development according. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City in class VII and IX on one of the students in that class. In this study, researchers only examined teenagers who had an impact on their social and emotional development due to their parents' divorce. And to find out the consequences that arise from the divorce of both parents in adolescents on social emotional development at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. The type of research used is qualitative research with a case study approach with purposive sampling technique. The main subjects in this research were two participants and four informants, including friends and homeroom teachers. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation with the validity of triangulation data. Then the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions.The results of this research show that the impact of parental divorce greatly influences the social and emotional development of adolescent children, who during adolescence really need support, attention and love from their parents. In a family, children should grow and progress, become familiar with society, then learn and follow the rules and values that apply in life (Seokanto in Thoyibah, 2021). The visible impact is that children become individuals who are easily emotional (sensitive), lacking concentration in the process. teaching and learning activities, children feel like they want to win on their own, and lack fighting power.
