Abstract

Photographic Representation in Independent Comic “Cabin” and “Left Behind” by Azisa Noor. Independent comics are comics created and published by the creators themselves and are not tied to the publisher's interests. Several independent comics present a series of visual narratives using elements like photograph drawings or photographic imageries. The photographic imagery in question is an illustrative depiction representing photographic media, not a scene visualization technique using photographic techniques. This research aimed to investigate the report and function of photographic imageries in the visual narrative of independent comics in Indonesia, especially in the work of Azisa Noor; Cabin (2016) and Left Behind (2017) were selected using a purposive sampling technique.
