Excessive concentrations of sulfur dioxide were found in urban-type settlements. The highest average values were recorded in Stary Nadym (20,35 mol/m²). The maximum methane content (1866,2 ppb) was reported in Novy Urengoy. Urban air, in general, has increased methane content. Abstract

The remote assessment of methane (CH4), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and sulfur dioxide (SO2) concentrations in the atmosphere of oil-and-gas profile settlements within the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug for 2019–2022 was made for the first time.
