PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN MENINGKATKAN SIKAP POSITIF LANSIA TERHADAP PENANGGULANGAN GOUT ARTHRITIS

Abstract

Abstrak   Asam urat pada lansia terjadi ketika adanyan gangguan metabolism purin pada tubuh. Maka dari itu pentingnya pendidikan kesehatan diberikan pada lansia agar penderita asam urat tahu, mau, dan mampu mencegah, menangani, dan melakukan pemeliharaan kesehatan terkait penyakit asam urat, sehingga dapat memperbaiki kualitas hidupnya menjadi lebih baik. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap sikap lansia dalam penanganan penyakit gout arthritis di Posyandu Sugeh Waras Desa Bangunmulyo Kecamatan Pakel Kabupaten Tulungagung. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode Pre Experimental Design dengan pendekatan One-Group Pre-post Test Design. Populasi penelitian semua lansia di Posyandu Sugeh Waras Desa Bangunmulyo Kecamatan Pakel Kabupaten Tulungagung sejumlah 29 orang, sampel diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Variabel bebas pendidikan kesehatan tentang penyakit gout arthritis, variabel terikat sikap lansia. Data di analisa data dengan uji wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sikap lansia dalam penanganan penyakit gout arthritis sebelum pendidikan kesehatan sebagian besar responden yaitu sebanyak 22 responden (75,9%) mempunyai sikap negatif, sesudah pendidikan kesehatan hampir seluruh responden yaitu sebanyak 22 responden (75,9%) mempunyai sikap positif. Hasil uji Wilcoxon didapatkan P Value = 0,000 < 0,05, artinya ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap sikap lansia dalam penanganan penyakit gout arthritis di Posyandu Sugeh Waras Desa Bangunmulyo Kecamatan Pakel Kabupaten Tulungagung tahun 2022. Pendidikan kesehatan akan memberikan pembelajaran yang menghasilkan suartu perubahan diri yang semula belum diketahui menjadi diketahui, serta memberikan dampak yang positif kepada responden, serta proses komunikasi dan proses perubahan perilaku, sikap masyarakat dalam peningkatan sikap yang mendukung terjadinya perubahan perilaku tersebut. Kegiatan penyuluhan mengenai kesehatan pada lansia sebaiknya rutin dilakukan karena mengingat imunitas dan system tubuh lansia sudah menurun. Therefore, it is important to provide health education to the elderly so that gout sufferers know, are willing and able to prevent, treat and carry out health care related to gout, so that they can improve their quality of life for the better. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of health education on the attitude of the elderly in treating gouty arthritis at Posyandu Sugeh Waras, Bangunmulyo Village, Pakel District, Tulungagung Regency. The research was carried out using the Pre Experimental Design method with a One-Group Pre-post Test Design approach. The research population was all elderly people at Posyandu Sugeh Waras, Bangunmulyo Village, Pakel District, Tulungagung Regency, totaling 29 people, the sample was taken using a total sampling technique. The independent variable is health education about gouty arthritis, the dependent variable is the attitude of the elderly. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the research showed that the attitude of the elderly in treating gouty arthritis before health education was that the majority of respondents, namely 22 respondents (75.9%) had a negative attitude, after health education, almost all respondents, namely 22 respondents (75.9%) had a positive attitude. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained P Value = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is an influence of health education on the attitude of the elderly in treating gouty arthritis at Posyandu Sugeh Waras, Bangunmulyo Village, Pakel District, Tulungagung Regency in 2022. Health education will provide learning that produces a change in oneself that previously unknown became known, and had a positive impact on respondents, as well as the communication process and behavior change process, community attitudes in increasing attitudes that supported the behavior change. Educational activities regarding health for the elderly should be carried out regularly because the immunity and body systems of the elderly have decreased..
