Phytochemical and thin layer chromatographic studies on a Spondias mangifera of Kamrup District of Assam

Abstract

Spondias mangifera is a medicinal plant found in home gardens Kamrup. It is to be used for the treatment of dysentery, rheumatism, swollen joints, abscesses and cholera. Phytochemical investigation on ethanolic bark extract proves the presence of different important chemicals in this plant. TLC study also indicates the presence of multiple compounds in the bark of this plant.
