Kraszewski w Wilnie – jak się narodził pisarz

Abstract

The paper concerns early prose of Józef Ignacy Kraszewski during his “Vilnius period”. The author analyses debut novels written by Kraszewski in his twenties: Biografia sokalskiego organisty, Kotlety, Pan Walery and Wielki świat małego miasteczka, and tries to figure out the poetics and the method of the young writer. The method that led him to realistic literature.
