CONTEMPORARY SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SPA PARK BASED ON THE STUDY OF THE RECOGNITION OF THE HEALTH RESORT SPACE (THE CASE OF POŁCZYN-ZDRÓJ, POLAND)

Abstract

The aim of the study was to analyze the recognition of the spa area and assess the contemporary significance of the Spa Park in Połczyn-Zdrój. The results indicate the significant socio-spatial importance of the park and the existence of certain threats to its significance. The opportunities to improve its significance and protect the identity were developed. The conclusions can be applied to many historical spa parks.
