It can be reached on the groundwork of semantic analysis of the scientific publications document flow, thematically dedicated to the field of library, document and information activity and training of the relevant profile specialists. \nResearch methods are general scientific methods of cognition (analysis, synthesis, abstraction). The research used the method of grouping publications according to certain characteristics, which made it possible to receive conclusions in peculiarities of each group; the systematic approach was applied to researching the educational speciality “Information, library and archival studies” functioning as an educational system. \nScientific novelty lies in the fact that relevant investigation clusters were identified in the scientific research programme of educational speciality of ILAS (IBAS) at KNUCA (KNUKiM), which conceptually outline the necessary directions of scientific study and further systematic formation of the scientific and pedagogical school for training specialists in document and information profile. \nMain conclusions.
