Aim: Assess organizational culture and its influence on staff nurses' empowerment. Research design: A descriptive, correlational design was used. Setting: The study was conducted at Ain Shams University Hospital. Subjects: 105 staff nurses out from 308 were included in the study. Tools: Data was collected by using an organizational culture inventory and, an empowerment questionnaire. Results: Less than one-third of the study participants had high perception level regarding organizational culture. While more than half of them had a moderate level of organizational culture. Moreover, more than two-fifths of them had a low level of empowerment. Conclusion: There was a highly statically significant positive correlation between staff nurses regarding of organizational culture and their empowerment. Recommendations: Encouraging nurses' participation in goal setting, problem solving, and decision making.
