This article addresses the author’s experience of sitting across from Philip Bromberg in “The Hot Seat” during group supervisory sessions. The impact of Dr. Bromberg’s ideas on interpersonal and relational psychoanalytic theory is addressed. Concepts such as self-states, and Sullivan’s ideas on the uniqueness of me-patterns of relating are addressed.
