Abstract

The interaction of hydroquinone with water activated by hot-plasma pulsed radiation has been studied. In the reactions of hydroquinone with products accumulated in water during irradiation (nitrous and peroxynitrous acids), hydroquinone undergoes chain oxidation to benzoquinone.
