Abstract

Payment cards, whether they are debit or credit cards are an essential component of modern commerce. EMV-based cards have already helped improve the security of millions of bank cards throughout the world, giving even more people the confidence to make payments. But there are other security concerns associated with bank cards. Michael Christodoulides, information security consultant at 7Safe tells CTT that payment cards are changing and explains the role of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
