Abstract

Parent-sibling communication was positively related to social competence prior to death, but at no time after death (rl=0.29, p<.05). Parent-sibling ~ communication was inversely related to behavior problems following death, but not prior to death in all the behavior problem scales. The strongest consistent relationship between parent-sibling communication and coping was found in the External Behavior Problems sub-scale (r2=-0.41, p<.01; r3=-0.33, p<.05; rq=-0.42, p<.05).
