The exposure time to colchicine in previous research is 1 to 2 hours. After adjusting the duration of exposure to colchicine to improve chromosome quality. Although genetic/laboratory experiments were standardized by division, different durations of colchicine exposure were performed to obtain longer chromosomes with split chromosomes. We observed that shorter periods of colchicine exposure resulted in better-quality chromosomes, while longer periods of colchicine exposure resulted in fertilized chromosomes.
