Statistical Indicators of the Use of Coercive Medical Measures in Russian Federation

Abstract

The article analyzes the indicators of the use of coercive medical measures in Russian Federation, including as treatment by a psychiatrist, in the Russian Federation from 2016 to 2022. By applying coercive medical measures, the goal is not only to treat individuals and improve their mental state, but also to prevent the commission of new crimes. The author, considering the materials of judicial statistics, concludes that coercive medical measures are used quite often and in recent years there has been a tendency for their growth.
