Un… due… tre… SBEGA!

Abstract

Two clinical cases of invasive Group A Streptococcus infection (iGAS) are reported, with very different and rapid evolution. The two clinical cases described reflect the increasing trend in the pediatric population between 2022 and 2023 of the incidence of scarlet fever and invasive Streptococcus infection in different European countries, the spread of which was facilitated by the lack of exposure during the pandemic period to viral and bacterial infections.
