Convenient Detection of Fructose Content in Commercially Available Beverages

Abstract

In this study, the reaction of cysteine carbazole solution and fructose solution was carried out, and the optimal condition of the reaction was evaluated by UV spectrophotometry, on the basis of which, a colorimetric card was made. Under the optimum condition, the content of fructose in commercial beverages can be easily detected by colorimetry and colorimetric card. This method has a certain application prospect, because it can provide a quick and convenient solution for fructose detection, and provide strong support for research and application in related fields.
